Community Projects
Cosmo city Church(CCC) is a vibrant, Christ Centred and community driven Church with strong values in evangelism and missions work. As HFAA starts in South Africa, CCC will be its key partner. The two pilot projects initiated by (CCC) are: a community training centre and an early childhood development project. These projects are currently operating at a small scale and are being handed over to HFAA with effect from January 2012

PROJECT ONE
Little Legends Early Childhood Development Project
“Raising up a Godly generation at a tender age”
The Little Legends Early Child hood Development project (0-6 years) will adopt a special Christ centred curriculum that will help prepare young people at a tender age to engage effectively in an ever-changing world. The curriculum will include Theme discussions, Science, Language activities, Singing and music activities, Movement activities, Perceptual activities, Art/creative activities, Baking and making activities and Computer skills training.
On a regular basis they will be helped to understand their environment and how they can be agents of change. To improve their self-esteem, they will be given opportunities to do public speaking, leading groups and meet friends from other parts of the world. Such an exposure will help them to think independently and to start realising the potential that is in them.
PROJECT TWO
Cosmo City Community Training Centre (CCCTC)
“Empowering people through business entrepreneurship skills"
This project will be developed from a Computer Literacy class to a community training centre with a strong business perspective. The business perspective will aid women and youths who want to venture into entrepreneurship skills leading to employment opportunities. Partnership with different companies will be valued as it will avail the opportunities. This project is in response to the need from the community to have such a centre with room for the community to decide how the project should be run. The trainees, will have a chance to graduate with a accredited certificate. Being exposed to use of computers will further empower them with information and technology skills.
PROJECT THREE
Higher Certificate in Global Issues in Contemporary Mission (NQF Level 5)
"Empowering people to gain global perspectives in missions"
In collaboration with an accredited South African Institute we are in the process of developing a HIGHER CERTIFICATE IN GLOBAL ISSUES IN CONTEMPORARY MISSION (NQF Level 5). This is in response to Mission organisations, Churches and individuals confronted by various global challenges which they cannot afford ignoring.
The curriculum will cover global and local dynamics in mission as they affect humanity. This specialist certificate seeks to equip organisations/individuals that would like to engage effectively in missions. Focus will be on having a clear understanding of the current global issues and how they affect people. Furthermore students will come up with strategies that will help them to be effective in addressing these issues in the context of Africa.
